This rock inscription is situated on the western gateway of the Guwahati city at the foothills of Nilachal Hill. The epigraph is inscribed in Saka 1654, corresponding to CE. 1732 by Dihingia Barphukan, a general of the Ahom king Siva Singha (CE 1714 – 1744).
